Conversational Skills

I have spoken about emotional communication which is a killer technique but you need to maintain a conversation to use it. When people start a problem most people have is that of running out of things to say. Inner game can help a lot as this is normally a symptom of not being comfortable in the situation, but there are some techniques that can help kill this deadlock.

• Routines
• Story telling
• Observational comedy and piss taking
• Speed Seduction patterns

Routines
Mystery method uses a lot of these, really they are substitutes for solid game so you should not rely on them too much but they can give you a hook after your opener.

Story Telling
Superb technique if you can tell good stories you will come across as cool, interesting and high status. Swingcat has some great stuff on this. AisanPlayboy has a review of a program on his blog, not tried it though. One thing to remember, forget being embarrassed. The best stories I have ever heard were massively embarrasing for the person telling it. The fact that they felt they could tell it increased both status (I have nothing to hide) and comfort (wow, we must be good mates).

Observational comedy and piss taking
My personal favorite, not ideal for sets of more than 2-3 or where you do not hold the entire attention of the group. Taking the piss out of a 10 shows you are not afraid of her and it is also an active disqualification. Negs fall into this category but I do not really like them, they backfire too easily. Use with caution, don't be too crude or cutting. Insulting is ok but only if you are fairly sure you are not hitting to close to home.

Speed Sedcution patterns
Basically these are canned lines designed to server a purpose. On their own they are powerful enough but once again you are in danger of faking it not making it. No excuse for not having solid game. They are very useful for giving yourself a conversational purpose. If you know where you want to be it is easier to think of things to talk about.

With the exception of SS, the best way to think of all of these is to treat the women as a close aquaintance, whom you like but see yourself as superior too. Most people would have known someone who tends to tag along rather than be part of a group. RSD Tyler says think of her as your bratty little sister, I never had one so this never meant much to me.
